The short version: we collect what you type into our forms so we can get back to you, plus standard website analytics. We don’t sell your information. Ask us and we’ll show you or delete what we have.
Who we are
ZipMarine (“ZipMarine,” “we,” “us”) operates the website at zipmarine.ai and the ZipMarine vessel-management service. This policy covers the website and the information you share with us through it. Questions go to hello@zipmarine.ai.
What we collect
- Things you tell us. When you fill out a form on this site we collect your name, email, and (if you give it) phone number, plus details you choose to share about your vessel, home port, and what you need.
- Things your browser tells us. Like most websites, we receive standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and approximate location derived from IP. We use Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) to understand how the site is used.
- Security logs. Our security tools record IP addresses and request details to block attacks and abuse.
We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the site isn’t directed to them.
How we use it
- To reply to you, run a demo, prepare a quote, and follow up about ZipMarine.
- To keep a record of our conversation with you in our customer-management system.
- To understand what’s working on the site and improve it.
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
If you’d rather not hear from us, reply “stop” or email us and we’ll take you off our list.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, under their own privacy and security terms:
- Website hosting & security — Hostinger (hosting), Wordfence (firewall and security logging), LiteSpeed (caching).
- Form processing & CRM — Make.com (routes form submissions) and our customer-relationship platform (LeadConnector / HighLevel), where we keep contact records.
- Analytics — Google (Google Analytics via Site Kit).
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business.
Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies: some are needed for the site to work and stay secure, and some (Google Analytics) measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though analytics won’t count your visit.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and contact records for as long as we have a business relationship or reasonable prospect of one, and then delete or anonymize them. Security logs and analytics data are kept for the periods set by those providers.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU/UK, or other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights under local law. Email hello@zipmarine.ai and we’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for asking.
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), a web application firewall, two-factor authentication on administrative access, and reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Data from the ZipMarine service
If you become a customer, vessel data you store in ZipMarine (maintenance records, documents, crew information and similar) is covered by your customer agreement. You own your vessel data, and you can export it at any time.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
